The Perfect Kitchen Sink by BLANCO

Blanco Apron Sink

Making selections for a kitchen, whether it be a new build or renovation, requires several important decisions. Cabinetry, hardware, appliances countertop, lighting, backsplash, sink , faucet and more. The kitchen is one of the busiest areas of the home and where we spend a great majority of our time so you want to make sure these choices are good ones.

The options for kitchen sinks are endless. When you think about it, the sink is one of the most used areas in the kitchen. You may not think of a sink as a “luxury” item, but you should.

We are thrilled to introduce BLANCO’s new IKON 33” 1-3/4 Farmhouse kitchen sink with low divide made of their patented SILGRANIT® material. This granite composite is available in eight trending colors. We have used the SILGRANIT® sink in almost every one of our kitchen designs. Read more about SILGRANIT® here.

BLANCO is elevating kitchen ergonomics with this new IKON sink. For three generations BLANCO has upped the standard for luxury sinks, faucets and decorative accessories.

Ikon Apron Low Sink

The IKON sink's low divide sits just 5-1/2” from the sink bottom, making it easier to handle large pots and baking sheets while still dividing the sink into cleaning and prepping bowls. Because apron front designs are installed further forward and eliminate the countertop, it minimizes the need to lean over as much and helps to reduce strain.

One of the optional accessories that I love is the floating cutting board that sits right on top of the sink to create another workspace beyond the countertop while making it easy to scrape chopped ingredients into a bowl placed below it.

In addition to the 1-3/4” low divide, the IKON series includes 30” and 33” apron single bowls along with a 27” farmhouse option for smaller spaces.

I love how these sinks become a “decorative feature” of the kitchen. They are neutral so it’s easy to incorporate any design style or color palette.

Here are 3 mood boards I created using the Blanco IKON 33 1-3/4” Farmhouse Kitchen Sink to demonstrate how they work into any style or decor.

I love a pop of color, especially if it’s pink!
