Au Naturale at High Point Furniture Market

As British designer Alexander McQueen once said, "There is no better designer than nature."  This was more than obvious at the Highpoint Market this year. Au naturale decor was everywhere. After all, what is is more comforting than bringing the beauty, colors and textures of the outdoors in?

These petrified wood and shell nesting tables from Bernhardt caught my attention immediately.

Combinations of iron, wood and metal was a theme we saw repeated over and over. Who can deny the texture, interest and shapes these materials lend to the aesthetic of a space?
