Thermador Eye Candy for the Culinary Enthusiast

Lesson #525 learned at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Vegas with Modenus Blogtour 2 weeks ago: Thermador is the eye candy of any kitchen. Designed for the most discriminating culinary enthusiast, the innovation and beauty of Thermador appliances is unquestionable.

The Pro Grand Steam Range was probably my favorite product at the Thermador booth. Complete with seven cooking options - Extralow simmering technology, 22,000 BTUs of cooking power, Titanium Griddle and Grill, a large capacity Convection Oven, Warming Drawer and the (best part) the industry exclusive Steam & Convection Oven.

Remember in my post yesterday I said that my husband Mike and I are keeping a file of innovative ideas and designs for our forever home? Well my notes about Thermador are going in that file. In my husband's next life, he wants to be the next Chopped champion so I will have no problem selling him on Thermador products in our next kitchen!

Another favorite item for me was the Freedom Wine Preservation Collection. Perfect for storing and serving the choicest bottles of wine, this redesigned appliance replaces the typical home wine cellar. I think my friend Adam Japko would love this.

It's a known fact in my house that I HATE to empty the dishwasher. I don't know why. It's #2 to putting away the laundry. However, I think if I had the Star-Sapphire dishwasher from Thermador, it might be a more enjoyable experience.

I've also decided in my next house that I need maximum refrigerator space and very minimal freezer space. To be honest, all I really need is ice and a frozen Girl Scouts Thin Mint from time to time. We have a freezer in the basement that holds all the Costco stuff. I want fresh food upstairs in my kitchen and I want to be able to SEE IT.

So with this in mind, I think that the Freedom Collection Fresh Food Column (with LED lighting) suites my needs.

One day Mike and I will hang our hats in Charleston, SC.  What do you think about this Thermador kitchen? I like it just fine.
