Serenbe 2016 Designer Showhouse

I've written a lot about Serenbe in the past (read HERE) and I have to do it again to tell you all about the 2016 Serenbe Showhouse sponsored by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles. It still amazes me the amount of people I talk to in Atlanta who haven't heard about Serenbe, the cutting edge community where the residents live, work, play and learn in celebration of Serenbe's thousands of acres of preserved forests and meadows. Theatre and music events, culinary workshops and festivals, farm to table eating, art galleries, films and lectures and quaint shopping define the lifestyle at Serenbe. Serenbe's architectural planning sets a new standard for community living that has attracted a designer showhouse for the last several years.

This year, the showhouse is the penthouse of the Textile lofts - Serenbe's first multi family venture. I attended the Preview Party so here's a sneak peak of what you will see.

Since outdoor living is central to life at Serenbe, why not step outside your penthouse to this? Designed by Bjork Studio and Kolo Collection. So playful!

The Great Room (designed by Kelly Wolf Anthony and Jenn Balcos) and the Kitchen designed by Nancy Duffey) was one large, sunny, urban space and I really loved it.

Note: No TV. Just beautiful views and plenty of spaces to relax, converse, read and entertain. Just what life at Serenbe demands.

Note: That Silestone Dekton waterfall countertop did not come up the elevator. Nope - on a crane up to the 4th floor balcony.

The penthouse could be 3 bedrooms but in this case it was one bedroom, an office and a keeping room (I'd call it a library). This gorgeous hallway unified the spaces. Designed by my friends Tami Ramsay and Krista Nicholas of Cloth & Kind, the hand blocked wallpaper was a showstopper.

My friend Steve McKenzie never disappoints.

The Keeping Room designed by Dixon Rye was beautifully layered and styled. I'm still learning how to to this as well as Bradley did.

Relatively speaking, this is a small showhouse and won't take a ton of time to tour. So when you make the drive to Serenbe, take time to enjoy the community. I highly recommend dining at the The Hill Restaurant, visiting the Farmers Market (Saturdays at 9am), making a spa appointment at Spa at Serenbe or strolling thru the quaint shops.

The 2016 Serenbe Showhouse will run from now until October 9th, Thursday-Saturday, 10am - 5pm and Sunday Noon - 5pm. tickets are $20 available online at serenbeshowhouse.com or at the door.
